As far as photography assignments I participated in go, there is probably none more meaningful than photographing for The Carter Center in South Sudan.
Jimmy Carter was instrumental in the fight to eradicate the Guinea Worm Disease and in 2019 I spent two weeks along a team working on a documentary (called “The President and the Dragon”) about this fight, photographing the amazing people working on the ground to teach how to stop the spread of this terrible disease.
I have not seen the documentary yet, but the trailer is out (I believe the movie is out on Amazon and Hulu in the US):
