Since I starting posting again from our 2024 road trip from Dubai to Portugal and back, I thought I would keep the momentum going and let a few more images see the light of day.
Alhambra is a spectacular palace in Granada in the South of Spain and it’s probably the most famous example of Islamic architecture. It was started in 1238 by Muhammad I Ibn al-Ahmar, the founder of the Emirate of Granada. It then became the Royal Court of Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492. Napoleon troops partially destroyed it in 1812 and after many restorations since the 19th century, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
I had visited the place many years ago, but this was the first time when I had a bit of time to make a few nice photographs there.
